Beef Kao Pad was tasty, but mostly rice with very little vegetables and meat.

I love this place. But I did order a dinner entree and it cost extra for rice which I find pretty awful. Other than that -great place.

Their rice and noodles dishes are solid... Also their papaya salad is very authentic.

Super quick and always decent food for the buck. Pad That is exactly what I was looking.

Delicious food. It's right by my apartment so it's very convenient for me to get somethign tasty after work. Larb Ubol has become my go to Thai place with its authentic cuisine and it's ability to consistantly sate my craving for Thai (which is every meal). Love the somewhat recent addition to the neighborhood and I will continue to grab grub here whenever I can.

Their Pad See Ew is delicious! Lunch specials are good, too!

I ordered the Kra Prao lunch special over rice and received a confirmation at 12:33PM with a delivery time of 30-45 minutes. At 1:30 I called and was told the my order was on the way. I called 15 minutes later and was told the delivery person 'broke' the food, that it was dropped. I finally received a call at 2:13PM and was told the food was on my floor. The food itself was very bland with 95% white rice, a shriveled basil leaf or two and poor quality pork mince meat. It also came with a small iceberg/'papaya' salad that was bland. Very disappointed after reading such positive reviews on Yelp and Seamless. Luckily there are many other Thai options in the area.

This place is the best: fast and delicious. It's not cookie-cutter Thai food, so it's best to steer away from the really familiar things (pad thai, drunken noodles). But the less familiar items are consistently well prepared and full of spicy and tart flavor.
I love the Kra Prao Moo Krob Over Rice Lunch Special, which is crispy bits of pork (Warning to calorie counters: there is fat in there -- delicious, delicious fat!). I also think the papaya salads and meaty larb salads are great choices -- you might want a side of rice to go with those. The sticky rice would be a good choice.
The Gang Om Soup was a suggestion from the NYTimes review of this place, and it was excellent.
A word about the spice levels: they are no joke. I love spicy Mexican foods, and spicy Szechuan is a favorite. But the Thai spices here can be too much for me. I leave the spice level at 1, which provides plenty of punch. At first I ordered spice level 3 because I figured I wanted the average spiciness, and that turned out to be so heavy on the chilies that I couldn't finish the dish. But I have discovered that leaving it at level 1 is best for me.

They deliver at lightening speed if you live in the Hell's Kitchen area. They take special directions very well - I always ask for no palm sugar/syrup in my papaya salad, and it always comes nice and sour, just the way I like it.

Fresh and spicy Larb Ubol's salads are my favorite, especially the papaya salad (the avocado papaya salad is the most straightforward and has the fullest taste of green papaya). The Larb is also very good, although I do wish they'd add more herbs and salad for texture and crunch.

Came in less than 10 minutes (disclaimer: I do work two blocks away but still). I had the Pad Kee Mao and the spice level was right. This is real Thai food. I have been looking for an authentic place and found it finally. I had no problems with the rice like other reviewers, it was a small carton but filled to the top. Can't wait to order again.

The food is stunning. Hole in the wall type place and prices, yet it's always packed in the evenings and weekend so I gave it a try. Whether dining in or ordering delivery, tip top Thai food. Generally all on the spicy side fyi

very good food, if you ask for spicy you get spicy, fast, friendly delivery. Reliability can be a problem - I've gotten the wrong order on a couple of occasions, but each time it was good anyway, so I just ate it. Hoping to have time to go there soon for a full meal.

Really poor. This is my first review on seamless and I felt I had to say something. I ordered the minced pork and grilled beef. Pork tasted weird. Beef was slimy and fatty. The "salad" was just lettuce leaves and ends. I would never order from here again. Perhaps I was unlucky as many other gd reviews and it turned up quickly but just not a good experience.

Decided to try this place (usually order from Aceluck or Qi)...Fast delivery in cold weather. Bad food. Will not order from L.U. again.

This is a great restaurant, food is good and different to most commercial Thai places. The service is excellent. the only crticism anyone might have is the decor which is a little home made but it doesn't detract in my mind from what they do well. Good food, done quickly, with a smile

Awesome - Great Thai food joint walking distance from my work. Score!

Fried chicken with ginger rice lunch special was pretty tasty. I also tried one of their papaya salad and got spice level 2 and it was still too spicy for me and I love spicy food. I'll go to level 1 next time. Food is delicious and not your average run of the mill thai.

Pad Thai was pretty bland, and not fresh tasting (no lime wedge or fresh sprouts like at other spots). May order again, but in the future will stick to some of their specialties.

Great northern Thai food -- skip the pad thai and go for the amazing salads! The spicy pork belly and duck entrees are also super yummy :)

smallest rice container I have ever seen, if you're trying to cut corners like this you should at least make it clear on the menu.

Living in Hells Kitchen there's a lot of food...but a lot of it is straight up bad. This is my go-to for SE Asian food now. The flavors are really great and I always end up eating too much because it's so tasty!

I've just ordered their Pad Thai for the 6th time in 4 days. I'm not kidding. Texture is perfect. For "special requests" I ask now for "chicken and shrimp" and they charge me an extra $2. Well worth it. And I ask for "spicy" because their default is really really mild.

Great Pad Thai!

I initially gave this place 5 stars. Flavor-wise it's fantastic, very authentic, and SPICY!. I noticed their prices are slightly higher and their portions are a little smaller than their competition but that didn't bother me too much...initially.
Unfortunately, it's getting worse. On my recent order, the soup containers were half-full. And the rice containers (which they charge $3 for whereas most places throw it in for free) were also mostly empty. I'm all about portion control, but if you're selling half-full rice containers for $3, that's just cheap.
I really hope they wise up and become a little less frugal. I'll order from them once or twice more to see and bump my review back up if they change. Otherwise, it's back to the other places.

I ordered the chef' duck special and asked for it to be on the mild side spice-wise. First, the dish came without any of the promised vegetables--no eggplant, no anything. Second, it was indelibly spicy. Will not order from here again,

Best thai food in midtown!
I loved pad thai and pad see ew.

I ordered the crispy pork with basil over rice and the chicken Pad Thai. Over all, the crispy pork dish was a huge disappointment. The portion was small. There was hardly any basil or sauce. And the pork was overcooked and therefore dry and hard. The Cantonese fried pork is MUCH MUCH better than this. I don't understand why people are ecstatic over their crispy pork. The Pad Thai was not good as well. I've tried Pad Thai all over midtown and this one was the worst. Mooshy noodles, no lime, lots of bean sprouts, sorry, not authentic. I would never order from here again.

I'm never disappointed when I try new dishes here. This place has a lot of unfamiliar Thai food - I have no idea if it is authentic or not, but it's delicious.

It's definitely the best Thai in the neighborhood. Very creative and thoughtful dishes. Portions are good. Materials are fresh AND the delivery guy is nice! It really makes it stand out in tons of Thai restaurants here. My only wish is that they can keep up the good quality, unlike some restaurants were amazing at the beginning and just got worse every time.

I literally live right next to it and have been ordering from here the past entire week. I'm a south east asian myself, and this place beats plenty of restaurants down in chinatown. 5 stars!!

An unfortunate experience which has drastically changed my otherwise exceptional view of Larb Ubol. To start, my to go order was missing the Chicken Larb. I was looking forward to it but nothing I would go out of my way to call and complain about. Moving onto the Kra Prao Moo Krob Over Rice, if you can call it that. I've ordered this dish from here on other occasions and it was been spectacular. Not this time. I had a hard time telling the difference between the pork and the rice as they both maintained the same consistency. The pork was soggy and flavorless while the rice more so resembled rice pudding. If you can't cook white rice, get the hell out of the kitchen. I have not had a worse lunch in recent memory than the food they tried passing off as edible.

I've been a larb fan ever since a Laotian friend of mine introduced me to it yrs. ago so I excitedly ordered from Larb Ubol right away when I found out they're on Seamless. That was 2 days ago; today I ordered again. Their classic kai larb (chicken) is pretty good and authentic-tasting although I'm not sure since I'm Filipino, not Laotian. My friend's is better, of course, but this is something I would eat on a regular basis (in fact, I will). I'm eating their tub wan larb (pork liver) now and it gets high marks from the point of view of someone who likes both larb and liver. The larb is well-balanced and the liver is tender and fresh. Looking forward to try their crispy pork larb. I'm so glad there's authentic Thai in MIdtown West/Hell's Kitchen and I'll keep supporting them as long as I can.

Same chef as Zabb Elee in the East Village, and a very similar menu. Real Issan style Thai food, not the same cookie cutter stuff at every place on 9th avenue. Anything with crispy pork is awesome. Delivery was quick
